Our favorite formation that's visible from nearly anywhere on the lake is Dillon Pinnaccles.
It is a popular destination for boaters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. The reservoir is stocked with millions of fish each year, making it a great place to fish for lake trout and kokanee salmon.
Blue Mesa Reservoir is also known for its strong afternoon winds, so boaters should be aware of the potential for hazardous conditions. Water temperatures remain cold through much of the season, so windsurfers and water skiers are advised to wear wet suits.
Overall, Blue Mesa Reservoir is a great place to visit for a variety of outdoor activities. With its stunning scenery and abundance of recreational opportunities, it is no wonder that Blue Mesa Reservoir is a popular destination for visitors from all over the world.
